Wicked Open Call for Singers in Chicago

Singers in Chicago have the opportunity to audition for the Broadway and National Touring Companies of Wicked this October.

The production is seeking talented singers ages 18 and older, of any ethnicity and gender, for both principal and ensemble roles. Performers should have strong voices, wide vocal ranges, and the ability to move well.

⚠️ Arrival Deadline: Singers must arrive by 1:00 PM to be considered

Both Equity and non-Equity performers are welcome. Union membership is not required, but all performers must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What to Prepare

🎤 Prepare 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song, performed a cappella, that demonstrates your vocal range.

🎶 Sopranos may instead prepare 16 bars of a traditional legit musical theatre song.

🎼 Bring sheet music in case piano accompaniment is requested.

📸 Bring a headshot and resume stapled together.

Potential callbacks are scheduled for October 6, 2026.

Since its Broadway debut in 2003, Wicked has become one of the world's most successful musicals, telling the story of Elphaba and Glinda before the events of The Wizard of Oz.
