The Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) and the Rotary Club of Huntsville are teaming up for their 15th annual spring production: The SpongeBob Musical! Local performers are invited to audition for this fun and colorful Broadway hit.

Audition Details

• Location: Algonquin Theatre, Huntsville, TX

• Dates:

  • Sunday, Oct 19, 2025 → 1–6 PM

  • Tuesday, Oct 21, 2025 → 5–9 PM

• Info Session: Wednesday, Oct 1, 2025 → 6–7 PM (HfA Studio)

• Eligibility: Ages 10+ welcome

• Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid)

Show & Rehearsal Schedule

• Rehearsals Begin: Sunday, Jan 4, 2026

  • Wednesdays → 7–10 PM

  • Sundays → 12–4 PM

• Performances: April 10–19, 2026 (7 shows at Algonquin Theatre)

Roles Available

• Leads: SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Plankton

• Ensemble: Multiple supporting and community roles

About the MusicalThis upbeat production follows SpongeBob and friends as they rally together to save Bikini Bottom from disaster. Featuring songs by Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Steven Tyler & Joe Perry, and more. Directed by Lauren Rodrigues, a local theatre artist and past Huntsville Theatre Company president.
