The Dinner Detective Holding Virtual Auditions for Paid Acting Roles

The Dinner Detective, known as America’s largest interactive murder mystery dinner theater show, is now holding virtual auditions for paid acting roles in multiple cities.

This opportunity is open to actors, improvisers, performers, and stand-up comedians who enjoy live, fast-paced, interactive theater. All roles are paid, and scheduling is flexible based on performer availability.

The Dinner Detective is an improv-based murder mystery dinner show that combines comedy, mystery, and audience interaction. Performers should be comfortable engaging with guests, thinking quickly, and bringing strong energy to a live performance environment.

The company is currently seeking performers for upcoming shows in Allentown, Baltimore, Cleveland, Richmond, Virginia Beach, and Washington, DC.

Applicants must be 21 years old or older. Performers who can portray characters age 35 and up are especially encouraged to apply. All ethnicities are welcome.

Virtual Audition Dates

Auditions will be held virtually on:

Monday, June 22 at 7:00 PM

Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 PM

Most shows take place on Saturday nights. Pre-show rehearsals typically run from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM on the day of the show, with performances usually running from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Performers will not be required to work every show, and scheduling is handled one month at a time.
