Paid Extras Casting in NYC: Indie Rock Audience Scene for FUNNY STRANGE

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking paid background actors in New York City to portray a 2003 indie rock/pop concert crowd for the feature film FUNNY STRANGE, starring Cailee Spaeny and Drew Starkey. SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent are welcome.


Location: NYC (local hires only)

Tentative Shoot Date: Tuesday, February 24 (must be fully available)

Scene: Interior music venue — crowd dancing/watching a live show

Note: Water-based theatrical smoke will be used


Roles Needed

Indie Rock / Pop Audience Members

  • Men & Women, 20s–30s

  • All ethnicities

  • “Downtown NYC indie scene” types

  • Comfortable dancing and reacting to a live performance


Pay Rates

  • SAG-AFTRA BG: $224 / 8 hours

  • Non-Union: $187 / 10 hours

    (Covered under SAG-AFTRA CBA; Preference of Employment applies where applicable.)
