Opera Colorado Holding Open Auditions for Professional Singers

Opera Colorado is inviting local singers to audition for its upcoming 2026–27 season professional chorus ensemble.
The Denver-based opera company is one of the leading performing arts organizations in the Rocky Mountain region, known for producing grand opera, concerts, and educational programs. Its upcoming season will include productions of Verdi’s Macbeth and Mozart’s Così fan tutte, also known as School for Lovers, at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
Opera Colorado’s chorus is now a fully professional and paid ensemble, supporting working artists through paid performance opportunities.
Audition Details
Audition Dates:
Thursday, June 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Audition Location:
Opera Colorado Opera Center
4121 S. Navajo Street, Suite 100
Englewood, Colorado
Singers of all voice types are encouraged to audition.
What to Prepare
Applicants should prepare two memorized selections from opera or art song repertoire. One selection must be in a foreign language, preferably Italian. A pianist will be provided.
The audition panel will include Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master Sahar Nouri, Artistic Director and CEO Barbara Lynne Jamison, and Director of Programs and Partnerships Dennis Robinson Jr.
