Open Dance Call in Detroit for Norwegian Cruise Line Shows

Norwegian Cruise Line is holding an open dance call in Detroit for performers interested in joining mainstage productions onboard the Norwegian Getaway.
The casting team is seeking strong, athletic dancers with training in styles such as commercial jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop. Tap, tumbling, acro, partnering, and lifting skills are a plus. Singing is not required.
Selected dancers may perform in productions including Bring Back the 90s, an energetic show celebrating the music, fashion, pop culture, and unforgettable moments of the 1990s. Performers may also take part in other entertainment offerings onboard, including parties and pop-up events.
The audition is open to dancers ages 18 and older. Female-identifying dancers should be between 5’2” and 5’9”, while male-identifying dancers should be between 5’8” and 6’3”. Dancers of all ethnicities are encouraged to attend.
The open call will take place on August 16, 2026, at ArtLab J Detroit, 18663 Livernois Avenue, Detroit, MI 48221. Sign-in begins at 9:30 AM, with auditions starting at 10:00 AM. No pre-registration is required, and talent will be seen in arrival order.
Dancers should be prepared to learn multiple dance combinations and bring a hard copy of their current headshot and resume. Female-identifying dancers should bring dance heels and flats, while male-identifying dancers should bring sneakers or trainers and a flat jazz shoe.
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin November 9, 2026, with boarding on or around December 9, 2026. The contract is expected to run for 6 to 8 months onboard a Caribbean itinerary.
