NHL Hockey Fans Who Are Cancer Survivors in New York City
The NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative is now casting hockey fans who are cancer survivors for an upcoming social media campaign in Manhattan, New York.
Casting is open to non-union actors and non-actors, ages 18 to 60, from all backgrounds and genders. The production is looking for passionate hockey fans who have survived cancer and are comfortable sharing their personal stories on camera.
Selected participants should have a genuine connection to hockey and be able to speak authentically about their journey, resilience, family, hobbies, traditions, and fandom. The campaign aims to highlight that cancer may be part of someone’s story, but it does not define who they are.
Filming is expected to take place in late August or early September in Manhattan. Exact dates are still to be announced.
Applicants should live within approximately two hours of New York City or have accommodations available nearby, as travel and lodging are not provided.
