Lead for Indie Horror Short Bottom of the Stairs

Sword & Cloak Productions seeks a female lead (Black actor) for an experimental horror short filming in Rogers Park (Far North Side). Chicago locals only. Non-union. Shoots 1–2 weekend days in Nov/Dec. Fast-moving, atmospheric, high-tension project.

Role: ADLEE (Lead)

Black woman, 20s–30s. Smart, curious, impulsive, resilient—won’t quit without a fight.

Story: A sharp-eyed temp worker discovers a mysterious door in a dark stairwell and must outwit a supernatural threat. Alternative looks welcome (casting actors, not “model types”).
