Chicago Med Casting Background Extras for 2026/2027 Season

NBC’s Chicago Med is currently casting paid background actors for upcoming episodes filming in the Chicago area for the 2026/2027 season.

Casting directors are accepting submissions from Chicagoland locals ages 18 and older, within approximately two hours of Chicago. General background opportunities are open to all genders and ethnicities.

💰 Rate: $136.40/8 hours, with overtime after 8 hours

🚗 Vehicle Bump: Additional $35 if your vehicle is booked for filming

Applicants should be available for weekday filming between September 17 and September 28, 2026. Production days may last approximately 8–12 hours, with early morning call times common.

Talent should submit current, natural photos without filters or professional headshots, along with contact information, measurements, transportation details, tattoo information, and available filming dates.

A Google submission form is preferred, although email submissions are also accepted. Applicants should submit only once using one method.

Featured Role – Intubated Patient

Production is also casting a featured, director-selected patient role.

The performer must be comfortable with simulated medical procedures, including a fake intubation tube, prop needle, prosthetic skin piece, and possible SPFX fitting.
