“Chicago Fire” Extras Casting Call in Chicago for 2026 Season

NBC’s Chicago Fire is now back in production in the Chicago area for the 2026 season, and casting directors are currently looking for local background actors for upcoming filming.


Production is set to shoot two units on Monday, April 6, and they are seeking men and women, ages 20s to 70s, all ethnicities, who are local to Chicago, surrounding suburbs, and border states near Illinois only.


They are casting for the following background roles:

  • Pedestrians with cars

  • Medical types

  • Visitors and patients

  • Clean-shaven firefighters and clean-shaven white shirt types

  • Office workers


For car submissions, no white, red, black vehicles, or trucks will be accepted. Applicants should include their car’s color, year, and make, and mention whether they are available to work without it.

Those applying should not submit if already scheduled for a future date on Chicago Fire.
