“Chicago Fire” Casting Paid Extras in the Chicago Area

NBC’s “Chicago Fire” is now back in production for the 2026 season, and casting directors are looking for local background actors in the Chicago area to work on upcoming scenes.
This paid extras opportunity is open only to talent based in Chicago, the suburbs, and surrounding border states to Illinois.
Roles Casting
Production is currently seeking:
Men and women
All ethnicities
Factory types and business types
Ages 20s to 60s
These roles are needed for Thursday, April 9.
Casting is also searching for real medics to work on Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10.
Pay Rate
$200 for 8 hours
Time and a half after 8 hours
Real medics receive an additional $25 special ability bump
Filming days typically run around 12 hours, with lunch provided during the day.
