NBC’s Chicago Fire is currently casting paid background actors for upcoming filming in the Chicago area.


The production is looking for men and women of all ethnicities, ages 20s to 70s, to appear as hospital staff, visitors, and city bystanders.

📅 Work Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026

💰 Rate: $136.40 for 8 hours, with overtime after 8 hours

👥 Age Range: 20s–70s

🎭 Roles: Non-speaking background extras


Available roles include:

  • Bystanders for an outdoor city scene

  • Doctors, nurses, and medical techs

  • Hospital visitors


Applicants do not need to have real medical experience to portray hospital staff.


Casting is open to people local to Chicago, the surrounding suburbs, and nearby states bordering Illinois.
