Chicago Fire Casting Call: Paid Extras Needed in Chicago

NBC’s hit drama Chicago Fire is currently back in production for its 2026 season, and casting directors are looking for local talent in the Chicagoland area to work as paid background actors.

The long-running series follows the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Firehouse 51 as they face life-or-death emergencies while building a strong family bond under pressure. Produced by Dick Wolf, the show continues to give viewers an intense look at the lives of everyday heroes in Chicago.

Current Casting Needs

🚑 Hospital Patient Role

Casting is seeking female extras, all ethnicities, ages 20s to 40s, to portray a hospital patient in a hospital gown.

Work date: Friday, August 21

Filming note: Production may film until 10 PM.

Applicants should not apply if they worked this week or are already scheduled for another future date.

👗 Featured Non-Speaking Role

Production is also looking for a classy Caucasian woman in her 40s to early 50s to portray the wife of one of the actors.

Work date: September 3 or September 4

Filming note: Production may film until 4 AM, with an afternoon start.

This is a non-speaking featured role, and photos will be shown to the director for final selection. Applicants should submit an upscale, classy recent color photo. No selfies, mirror photos, hats, sunglasses, headshots, or comp cards.

🚗 Extras With Cars

A car casting call is also open for extras with cars, ages 18 to 70, all ethnicities.

Work date: Monday, August 24

Location: Chicago

Call time: Could be as early as 4 AM

Rate: $136.40 for 8 hours, with time and a half after 8 hours

Car bump: Additional $55

Black cars are acceptable. Applicants should include a recent color photo and details about their vehicle, including color, year, and make. If selected, production will request the vehicle’s license plate number.
