“Chicago Fire” Casting Call: Paid Extras Needed for New Season in Chicago

NBC’s hit drama “Chicago Fire” is currently filming its 2025 season in the Chicago area, and the casting team is now looking for paid background actors to appear in upcoming scenes.
Created by Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf (known for the Law & Order franchise), the series follows the firefighters, paramedics, and rescue teams of the fictional Firehouse 51. The long-running show has also spawned popular spin-offs including “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med.”
Filming takes place in Chicago, so applicants must be local to Chicago, nearby suburbs, or surrounding states bordering Illinois.
Roles Currently Casting
Real Firefighters and Real Medics – filming March 13 (pay: $200/8 hours + overtime, plus $25 special ability bump)
Stand-In Role (“SI Mickey”) – Caucasian male, 6’2–6’4, ages 20s–40s
Diner Patrons, Construction Types, Real Servers, Staff, and Recovery Residents – ages 20–60, all ethnicities
Featured Admin Type (OFI) – males in their 30s, filming March 16 with a wardrobe fitting on March 12
Real Medics/EMTs – filming March 12–13
Real Firefighters – filming March 12, 13, and 17
Most roles are paid, non-speaking background roles, with typical filming days lasting around 12 hours and meals provided on set.
