Casting Call: Paid Background Extras for “Chicago Med”

NBC’s Chicago Med is back in production and casting is now seeking local Chicagoland residents to work as paid background actors/extras on upcoming episodes. This notice is for background roles only (not principal speaking roles).

Because the upcoming episode continues directly from a previous one, casting notes that space is limited and many roles are focused on continuity—however, there are still some new faces needed for hallway and O.R. scenes.

Who Can Apply

• Ages 18+, any gender, any ethnicity

• Must live within about 2 hours of Chicago

• Must have graduated high school and not be attending classes during the work period

Pay Rate (Background)

• $132.80 / 8 hours (flat rate up to 8 hours, overtime after)

• +$35 vehicle bump if booked with your car (no red or white vehicles)

• Prosthetic forehead wound + SFX blood/makeup (no latex allergy)

• Fitting: 1/14 | Films: 1/15

• Pay: $132.80/8 + $25 fitting bump

2) Female Patient (Pregnant) — Films 1/21

• Female, any ethnicity, 20s–30s

• Pregnancy belly + SFX makeup (must be willing to remove toenail polish if needed)

• Fitting: 1/15 | Films: 1/21

• Pay: $132.80/8 + $25 fitting bump

• Subject Line: FEMALE PATIENT 1/21

3) “Young Charles” (Body Double Type) — Films 1/23

• Caucasian male, 19–early 20s, approx. 6’4”

• Submit 3 current candid photos (front upper-body, full-length front, full-length side)

• May require a wig if hair is short

• Fitting: 1/21 | Films: 1/23

• Pay: $185.40/8 + $25 fitting bump + $15 wig bump (if applicable)

• Subject Line: YOUNG CHARLES
