Aurora, Ohio Auditions for Stage Musical “Disaster!”

Aurora Community Theatre in Ohio is currently holding auditions for the stage musical “Disaster!” and is also urgently seeking an actor to step into one of the featured roles.

Directed by Nicole Lucas, Disaster! is a comedy musical set in 1979 aboard a floating casino and discotheque, where a night of dancing quickly turns into chaos. Packed with comedy, larger-than-life characters, and iconic ’70s hits, the show is a fun tribute to the disco era.

Performance Dates

The production will run from April 17 through May 3, 2026.

Urgent Casting Need

The theatre is currently looking for an actor to play:

Tony – Male-presenting, age range 30s to 50sA confident, charming, and slightly self-absorbed character.Tenor or high baritone preferred.

Audition Information

Performers should prepare:

• 32 bars of a song in the style of the show

• Their own track or perform a cappella

• A hard copy of their resume

• Be ready to learn a short dance combination

A quick video performing a 1970s-style pop or disco song is helpful, but not required to begin the conversation.

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals are already in progress at Aurora Community Theatre:

• Sundays: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Monday to Thursday: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
